Well…I am learning about all of the things I need to learn more about.”
The road to my jewelry studio is miles of rutted red silt, white bedrock and desert forest. You have to want to get there: to know that a cabin and jewelry studio is worth 45 minutes of bumpy, dusty four wheel driving. I love that drive.
I am on the road to becoming the artist I always wanted to be.
When I first decided to commit to art as my career I was young and I lacked life experience. This time around I am doing my due diligence. And the more I look into it, the more vast the idea gets. The Jewelry Shop is coming.
Well…I am learning about all of the things I need to learn more about.
The road to The Jewelry Shop is proving long and bumpy; and I’m loving it too.
You see, I want The Jewelry Shop to represent what inspired it: Handcrafted Artisan Jewelry.
When I wear jewelry I want it to feel special. Like the artist held it in their hand and spent the time crafting the piece just so that someone like me could wear it. To feel the weight of semi-precious metal and see a gem that was carved with the sole purpose of beauty. Each piece should seem to have it’s own story.
The Jewelry Shop is for artists dedicated to metalsmithing and handcrafted jewelry. For those of us willing to take the road to beauty wether in our craft or style.
So I’ll just keep traveling that road and when I get there…
